Alana McNair

Alana McNair is a filmmaker, writer, and musician. Her most recent short film, The Sperm Donor, screened at festivals including Woodstock Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival, and Big Apple Film Festival. Her other film projects include the series pilot In the Bog, the short film Existential Crisis, and the short film Imminent Danger!. She is the creator of a documentary web series, BEYOND PAIN, produced by the Facial Pain Association profiling patients living with Trigeminal Neuralgia. Her work as a playwright and performer has been produced in New York and other cities around the country, including the plays Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy, Power Burn 3, Settlement, and Just Piddlin': a dirt road operetta. She is also a founding member of the pop rock band, Ladystein. She is currently in development for her first feature length film. Alana holds a BFA in Acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Film from FSU's College of Motion Picture Arts. She has taught film production at Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, and Pace University. Her work as a video editor includes projects for brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Allure, Architectural Digest, GQ, and Teen Vogue.
